The cabinets were RTA cabinets and we were really impressed.As mentioned above; my dad and myself spent nearly 3 agonizing months every Saturday and Sunday ripping off one layer of aluminum siding, and then cedar lap siding to reveal the original sheathing of the home.

I do not know what the situation is in Indiana but I suspect the authorities do not smile on negligent landlords especially if negligence is revealed in an actual fire with damages, injury or even death.

I won't be in a position to purchase my first property until spring 2018 so fortunately this question is not time sensitive.I'm curious to hear if anyone routinely does this as part of inspection on purchasing your older buildings, especially if you have had a problem revealed by scoping that led to a seller contingency.
