I would recommend you look for some good insurance and see how much umbrella insurance coverage you can buy with the $800 you'd use for LLC...It really seems that quite a bit of more beginner investors are very quick to start LLCs, it is not that difficult for a good lawyer to pierce through it.

i don't think so, you only make the effort of creating an LLC if you're trying to protect your personal assets if you get sued, even still, a judge could pierce through the LLC and go after your asset if it's poor negligence or other reasons.
