TYIA  Sounds like it was a pitch fest for a product instead of searching for a solution for you. 

In my experience, the best rates and terms for home equity products are from credit unions.

I already have a software development team chosen and will start production very soon. 

It is going to be the product we use the most in the future.

I'd say find a different broker / lender that knows the right product to get you into at way better pricing. 

It depends on the product, most it can range from 3-6 months of PITIA. 

Hard to call it a "booth" actually -- that show is so huge it was really more like the Schlage pavilion 😃I talked to the Encode product manager for quite a while about integrations, including the new direct one with AirBnB, and some of their PMS integrations like with OwnerRez. 

This looks more like some type of non QM or DSCR product than conventional as it has a prepayment penalty. 

As an example in a different real estate “product”, we owned a 70 unit motel that we had converted to mostly low income housing.  

If you're going to compensate a leasing agent, certainly 100% mention that when in the real estate offices on that street, you want them pushing your product too.Then I'd walk my happy butt into all the local business networking events and market it.
