During our last inspection, I asked them if the city was ever going to start inspecting LTRs because our long term tenant residents deserve safe accommodations as much as visitors!

Too many horror stories about perfectly fine investment properties being run into the ground even though mgmt is sending glowing updates to owners only to find out their property has been completely neglected and is in disrepair when they make the trip out to visit or decide to sell years later.Regardless of which market you and your partner end up in, I highly recommend checking references for vendors, contractors, agents, management, etc. with as many local on the ground sources as possible to verify that you are doing business with the best.Cheers and best of luck on your acquisition of your duplex/fourplex in the near future!

Yes, indeed this is happening and I agree with Account Closed inferred is that they really are are just "visitors" and we have no real relationship with them as the OTA's would like us to believe.

This could change quickly if the rules are already against STR'S in the area.there are counties in WA that still have no Zoning and as such no STR rules and regs  now if they will attract visitors thats the question.
