I wanted to go with ceramic because of strength and durability.

We feel anytime you are looking for durability you should go with a solid vinyl or a vinyl planking.

I agree the way to go is buying something simple, old school tech durable.

What you allow/don't  allow I think should be tied to the durability of the units,  and have the pet fee to match!

Durability Regarding durability, BF is better than LF.

Exterior paints generally also have more Ti02 in the base to allow for better coverage and a more scrub-able/durable surface.
