the above posts are spot on...it's all about fear...like marc, i was in college, and figured, what the hell...if i lose everything i could always go back to bartending...luckily i haven't had to yet, but i would if i had to..used to meet a lot of cute girls that way :wink: i guess it gets harder as you age, get married, have children and need more financial security..i could live on 500 bucks a month if i had to, so that helped alleviate some fears as well

I am just sick of dealing with the crap, they are fighting over a shared driveway and my tenant may share the majority of the blame, accusing them of dealing drugs and calling the cops on them all the time, then I have to deal with it.

A bank isn't going to know from one street to the next which one the mayor lives on and which one your local drug dealer is on.

I think evictions arent the worst thing, rather have a working family that had been evicted before in my rentals then a drug dealing tenant, dog fighting tenant, deatbeat tenant, Ive had all of the above and the evicted tenant was the best of the bunch.
