I read of lawsuits where the manager of a supermarket had a dispute with a customer, assaulted the customer, the supermarket was sued, as well as the manager personally.The other theory is in the eyes of the law, if the business is held in an LLC, the LLC is a mere pass through entity, and corporate shield can be easily pierced.I followed the lawsuit, as my employees had to take time off, go to court to testify.

@Derrek LawsonAround here, corner stores (dépanneurs) are an endangered species, but in parts of the City where there are no supermarkets close-at-hand, they do a booming business ... there is a little one across the street from one of our properties which does over $2M/year in revenue.Survey the neighbourhood, you might want to buy the building which houses the store ... and perhaps the store ... as well. ;-)

I came home and switched my treats from being fresh flowers from the super market and reasonably expensive store bought chocolates to being freshly roasted coffee beans from a local coffee shop down the street and homemade ice cream from a local award winning ice cream shop up the street or freshly baked croissant from the French bakery around the corner.
