One of the bedrooms on the ground level is currently my office, and I was considering keeping the desk, and buying a monitor & docking station.

My concern is the rough looking Valero corner gas station plus area around the gas station coming off the highway exit to go down the street into the Lennar subdivision. 

Here in College Station, Texas, multifamily properties are in limited supply, keeping prices high and leading to multiple offer scenarios for good deals.

A person goes to fuel station, pumps 20 gal of gas but only has $ to pay for 5gal, what happens????  

@Josh Banwart As @David Pere mentioned, I'm currently stationed in England and investing in the states via multiple different strategies, so I would love to hop on a call and talk to you about it if you'd like.

@John Underwood It is going to depend on the type of construction (old vs. frame), distance from a station, etc.

I'm a flight test engineer by day, currently stationed at Eglin Air Force Base, FL (just across the bay from Destin). 

Wiki page on it says 40,000 recruits pass through annually with around 7,000 stationed there at any given time.

Plenty of people use the VA loan to buy and rent out when they are stationed somewhere else.
