What is the balance between professionalism and presenting oneself as a genuine person? 

Hello, I'm about to embark on a real estate project in Costa Rica and I believe in educating oneself before doing anything, especially since I'm not an expert by any means in this field. 

I personally think starting a LLC, for one self-managed rental, might be overkill.

I'm opposed to spending $30K fixing mold issue when it's possible to do the same job oneself for 2K or less.Most of the research I've done on the topic of mold remediation is split, the majority seem to think its a scam.

I guess we could do one self storage deal and then reevaluate after that.

It's always a terrific idea to start with oneself.

Challenges would be being patient with oneself and the process.
