Mike Hanneman Insurance claim on rental roof?

@Mike Hanneman call you agent and tell them you think there was roof damage caused by the last storm given your tenants are now seeing shingles on the ground.They will come out and inspect the roof to see if it looks like wind/hail would have caused the damage, AND if the damage looks like it was from the last storm.There really is no grey area here.

I was a GC in Florida and now I’m working for a well established company contracting disaster damage / insurance claim repair (roofing from hail and wind, and flood, fire, etc..) over the entire Houston area.

Hail and Wind.. when your roof gets destroyed by hail you have to pay your deductible.. again not if but when..I can see it for locals because I am a firm believer in investing locally when you can.... but there are many areas of the country I think that are far superior to Texas for buy and hold and Vegas is one.Vegas has none of those issues.

I was initially planning to lower the deductible, but was advised that the deductible for wind/hail can’t be lowered below $5,000 (but all other covered occurrences can be lowered).Any insight is appreciated!
