My suspicion is, the dead guy won't bother to redeem the property.My main concern is environmental contamination.

However, my point is that the Micron effect has already begun, contractors, architects, environmental etc have started descending on the area, and need land/warehousing/temp housing, especially since Micron has shrunk it's timeline for the first 2 fabs to four years, to open in 2029, due to Intel and Taiwan getting more aggressive. 

Also inspectors frequently will ask how the building footprint was established, plus a survey is insurance should a neighbor ever question the setbacks.

The slippery slope of late rent payments start with checks because there is less footprint on their actions to actually pay you and they can falsify dates.
