After 82 replies I am sure my comment will be lost, but I wanted to chime in after reading a few pages of comments with my opinions.Yes, real estate agents are going the way of the dinosaur.  

Real Estate agents are the next dinosaurs.

Those focusing on metrics of investing forged in '09', well it's a dinosaurs plight.

Mine is the 2 liter dinosaur burner but they have an electric version too.For fun I have a 2014 Ducati Monster bought used that cost almost as much as the car.

PropertyWare is a dinosaur owned by RealPage who is now moving everyone to Buildium (another RealPage software).    

We do get folks on their way to Yellowstone, a fair number of fishermen on our river, some fall hunters, and of course folks visiting our hot springs and dinosaur museum. 

Our job skills became dinosaurs while we were living abroad for 10 years.What has happened:  My mother is in her 90's and in increasingly poor health. 

Dinosaurs survived over 200 millions years.

Purchased over a dozen this way and counting....Sorry, but agents are dinosaurs in my opinion.

And know what, yes things will be a bit different, like when the housing collapse changed mortgage finance it did not end the industry, it changed it, the internet changed retail, YoMTV changed.... ok thats a bad example, point is adaptation will be required, some evolution of how business is done and there will always be those few who simply can not or will not adapt and evolve and with such go the way of the dinosaur, but for vast majority, life will go on, we will go on, housing will go on.
