I'd also prefer an AI that gets the diagnosis right 98+% of the time vs. the Doc who got a B- in med school.Most all of us want the AI to take over these dangerous or high risk jobs. 

Also, we believe the housing provider may insist that the documentation of need be based on an in-person examination by a qualified professional because there is general agreement among the healing profession that an appropriate diagnosis cannot be made without such an examination; therefore, in our opinion, housing providers are not required to accept a "certificate" obtained by a resident from a website where the resident simply pays a fee and fills out a questionnaire to obtain the certificate without being examined in person.

This has raised the question of do I want to deal with constant calls to the HVAC pro to diagnosis and repair the mini split, or simply install window units with a warranty and call the warranty company if there are any problems.

If the son does indeed have a diagnosis of an illness caused by mold, it may or may not be related to his dwelling.

I'd bet a lot on a mental health diagnosis.  

We did the more advanced diagnosis on the dryer & info came up worse.

Although a plumber would have the final diagnosis it sounds like your vent, a seal, or the hole on their back side. 

If you had a big outfit 24 hour type commercial plumbing company giving you the diagnosis, I'd get another opinion.

If no water pipe leak, ignore what I said and never tell anyone about the embarrassing diagnosis I made by seeing only one picture and never speak of the faux pas again. ;-)

Yeah you can probably find the part at a wholesale AC supply and change it yourself but at what price.This is based on my experiences with several AC repairs I did myself.1. 30 mins to 1 hr researching ( self diagnosing) the part online, calling to find who has it in stock2. 1 hr round trip to buy the part3. 1 hr of sweating in the sun or baking in the attic while disassembling the unit.4. 30 mins to install and test the system. ( hopefully I was correct with he diagnosis from step 1or else we start all over)5. 30 more minutes of sweating and baking to reassemble everything.So if the part was $60 and an AC company charges $140 I saved $80.
