Had to replace outside electrical panel as well.Literally had a $30 an hour handyman work nearly full-time at the house just trying to stay ahead of the corrosion and humidity issues.

The color and gauge can also create buckling.Scratches due to walking on them should be touched up to prevent corrosion, salt laden environments will exacerbate corrosion.Improper fastening can create leaks, as well as poor quality/applications of sealants used during installation.

But that's the exception, not the rule, and there are always ways to make deals sound sweeter than they actually are when you tell your money stories to listeners with stars in their eyes and money in their fists.So yeah, on any given day of the week I would certainly take $60K to the corner convenience store and buy the big scratch-off lottery tickets, rather than bring that money to REI and with a clear head try to go after anything that I would call a sane way to triple it within a year.And I will speak out against a corrosive, debilitating get-rich-quick mindset in real estate investing where I see it being promoted, a mindset that breaks so many people who could other be put on any number of quite reasonable long-term paths to amassing real and lasting wealth.

Theres corrosion all over the utilities also and I just assume those will need to be replaced also.Question is, am I pretty safe to assume once I remove everything down to the studs, I will also have alleviated the mold?

I bet their water bills is going to be high.They have now been in our home for 2 months waiting for the work to be completed as they also found the sewer lines were also eaten away with corrosion.

The way it was explained to me about water quality was if there was a possibility of corrosion then use the plastic fittings vs the metal which is what we do here in the Texas hill country.

Holes in the walls (from pictures and shelves), it appears the bathrooms were never cleaned- there is hard water corrosion, and animal urine on the hardwood floors.
