As others correctly noted, as a landlord you must look at the big picture and if this happens to be a good tenant who has occupied the unit for a while, has a history of timely payments and has expressed interest in remaining at the property the value in an extension (assuming that is advantageous to you as the landlord) should be placed above your desire to collect rent in a certain method if this particularly tenant has strong desires to make their payments in a different manner....especially if the lease they signed allowed a different payment method.

I think it lies in that a lot of service providers in the real estate space are incentivized(money wise) to promote thier business.Real Estate agents are a small business, the more clients they have, the more money they make.Property managers are a small business, the more clients they have, the more money they make.Lenders, correct me if im wrong, are tied to some sort of bonus structure, the more loans they generate, the more money they make.More promotion leads to more awareness which leads to more money

Both screen doors upstairs do not function correctly.Plumbing problems-The garbage disposal in the kitchen was not cleaned, is smelly and the rubber is flipped outwards.The bathroom sink in the smaller bedroom does not drain correctly despite us using an entire bottle of drain cleaner on it.Common areas that are not kept clean or have garbage-There was no attempt to clear the patio of years of accumulated debris and filth.
