If you don't actually replace the damaged property, the insurer will normally only pay you the "actual cash value," i.e., the depreciated value of the property.

The chlorine goes into the water and the sodium builds up on the titanium plates which is why the cartridge eventually has to be replaced.These systems don’t actually measure how much chlorine is in the water or how much is needed.
