Our stated criteria (we are intentionally vague since we don't charge screening fees, we prefer a wider applicant pool to choose from):Our Criteria:We do not deny housing for race, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, sexual orientation, marital status, or familial status.We do deny housing to individuals: when the application is not complete or accurate where there is not sufficient income/resources to pay rent and live (2x rent)where there is poor prior tenancy: evictions, violations, damage to rental property, poorly handled move outs, amounts are still owing to landlords or utilities.

I was looking through a local property manager's contract and I found the following clause that seemed a bit suspect to me:"Owner shall pay all expenses incurred by Agent, including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys’ fees and Agent’s costs and time, and any liability fines, penalties or the like, in connection with any claim, proceeding, or suit involving an alleged violation by Agent of Owner, or both, or any law pertaining to fair employment, environment protection, rent control, taxes or fair housing; including but not limited to, any law prohibiting or making illegal discrimination on the basis of race, sex, creed, color, religion, nation origin, or mental or physical handicap.

no, i'm not interested in discriminating against folks based on race/color/nationality/national origin/religion/sex/disability; whether under my own primary residence's roof nor any clients' but actually bewildered that such a detailed act would point out 'race' 'color' and 'nationality' or 'national origin' but not touch upon ethnicity; same for 'sex' but not even touch upon gender identity or orientation.. at least at the federal level.and likewise, what about language?
