We are having a meetup next week at the Dilworth Neighborhood Grille!

Did you see today the news that Carraba's, Outback and Bonefish Grill are closing 40 restaurants? 

It was a foreclosure where the prior owner allowed it to be trashed - the furnace didn't work so the prior tenants were using a charcoal grill indoors to keep warm (and there was soot on the walls where it was). 

@Thomas Good- We are meeting Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Fireside Grille (4170 State Route 34) 

There appear to be a ton of them – everything from bed bugs and renters insurance to smoking and outdoor grills.

And have an outdoor grill/oven with a small legal kitchenette inside (microwave, fridge, sink) for myself, guests using the actual kitchen. 

-gas grills at least 10 feet away from the house/garage-no indoor furniture being used as outdoor furniture-front porch not to be used as storage area-fire pits must be 25 feet from any structure and in a manufactured (bought) container approved for fires...you know what I mean!

Also if you purchase a property that has a rent controlled tenant in it...they are grandfathered in even if it is not applicable to you.I would stay away from Takoma Parks multis as TP has rent control beginning at either 1 or 2 units, and it is much much more restrictive than DCs.  

.- Depending on tenant class, self metering for additional services such as cable, internet, and even propane in the yard (grill season).

Best practice is to make the call to change the utilities at lease signing, together.Be aware that tenants without electricity sometimes do dangerous things, like use candles for light, charcoal/gas grills for cooking (sometimes inside!)
