The Metro Atlanta Chamber identified fintech (financial technology), mobility and IoT (Internet of Things), health information technology, cybersecurity, B2B software, smart grid technology and film/digital media/entertainment tech as key growth segments. 

I call the closet the poor kitty cat torture chamber. 

@Marisa AlvarezI you have a chance to upgrade your disposal, go with the heavy duty model with minimum 5/8-3/4 HP and stainless steel grind chamber.

In addition to what Spencer said, one thing you can do is network at your local REIA, local chamber of commerce and network online here on BP and seek out several local developers. 

If you aren't attending 2-3 local area meeting of places like Rotary, Lion's Club, Shriners, Chamber of Commerce, etc PER DAY, then a small percentage of your thousands of competitors are out hustling you.  

I know this only tangential related to Real Estate, but I have a feeling the RE investors that are more successful, are also excellent at networking...I received an invite to the Rockford, IL Chamber of Commerce annual dinner from one of my lenders.

A little visit to Willie will cure any sorta anxiety though : ) A really great resource to see long term trends besides the US Census department is the texas a&m real estate center or even a visit to the austin chamber of commerce.

Call the chamber ask about new employers.Tip:  use indeed.com set radius to 5 mi, search for jobs in the target city, then other same sized cities, noting the the number of jobs in upper right.
