Hello Staten Island Investors,I'm a newbie looking for some input on where to go and what to do right now. 

Now homeowner is saying property is in uninhabitable.

I'm thinking I can find a lower cost 2-family out towards Long Island but still part of Queens (lower real estate taxes).

Throwing tons of stuff out there to see what sticks is just simply not a good use of my time when I can spend that time making money.I would agree that if you are writing 100s of offers and nothing is landing than you should reassess your strategy.

I looked at a home two weeks ago (via photos from the agent) of a home that belonged to a prominent investor in the midwest that was "Occupied up until the Sheriff's sale in December" that looked un-inhabitable to me.  

I've checked Rhode Island and I don't see them going anywhere for the price you've paid for.

I'm looking for people on Long Island who are currently in RE who would like to meet up for coffee and chat.
