There really is no harm in trying especially if "the zoning map on their site shows it is residential (and it still does)" You have clear proof of the documents you relied upon and unless there is a disclaimer on the zoning map, their error has caused you a quantifiable loss.

The buyers will have a hard time envisioning the final product and could do more harm than good.

If I default on my mortgages in the corporation they can sell the houses, and go after me because I singed a personal guarantee, but again they cannot go after my wife's assets or our joint assets, unless she was involved in the bad act that harmed the folks suing or unless she guaranteed the mortgage.Hope this helps some, keep in mind I do not know the law in your state.

I for one feel the misinformation does harm to our industry and I hope the show flops.

It seems 'fixing' the issue by trimming the columns may do more harm than good.

They did it by mistake but they did cause harm, and it was not remedied in a timely way.
