Fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, locks, snake out tub drains for hair, air gaping or at least a high loop for dishwasher drains, GFCI receptacles where they should be.  

I've heard of cases where people place lead paint flakes in their children's hair then sue their landlord for endangering them.
