Reasons - a) Super easy for anyone to find transportation....LYFT/UBER, rental cars everywhere, etc... b) I would not want to be inserted into the 'liability loop', c) It does not provide a true value add IMHO.

If you did file a claim was your insurance automatically raised astronomical amounts?

I would advise your nephew to also carry good insurance for his car (liability), in addition to an umbrella policy.

So kind of like they used car bizz .. and once they get going the local small bank will start to fund them.However I agree with you when you get folks coming on BP and say they have 200 or 500 or 1000 doors and they really are just Limited partners in syndication..

When we were considering where to invest, and whether or not to self manage those investments, proximity by car or flights was a huge factor.

What hurts me, is that I only have a spot for one car/truck due to it being a condo assoc.

@Wesley JensenFirst off, making a claim on your homeowners insurance does not automatically mean it will be raised.

But the way I look at this example is I go to the supermarket I pay on time, bag my own groceries, carry my food out to the car and still the super market raises prices on food.
