Of course, especially while having a regular 9-5 to get up and go to every day but I was committed and I still am to my goal of creating a rental portfolio that can help me eventually achieve financial freedom.

My goal is to achieve financial freedom by 35 and I am well on my way to doing so.

What I am trying to achieve from this forum:1) Surround myself with more like minded people in and around the Charlotte area.2) Meet people that have experience in the Charlotte market and have been successful. 3) Find private investors that want to pull money together and do deals with.4) Learn as much as I can.

Real estate investing is how I plan to achieve that flexibility.

Developing that trust with someone you don't know may seem like a challenge, but if you approach it correctly, you should be able to achieve a pretty solid foundation of trust. 

Obviously, this will not stop me from achieving what I set out to do but at the same time I have decided I should reach out to the BP board for any advice on the matter.

I would 1st define the goal of the group or goals and then determine what types of investments would best help you achieve those goals.
