I converted and expanded it from a 2/1 to a 3/2, with an entrance foyer, new master bathroom, master walk-in closet, a laundry room, thereby adding 255sq.ft to the original house.Location: Rapidly changing area with new commercial development less than 1/2 a mile away, and older houses being rehabbed.

Really depends on how the home is laid out, whether you can create separate entrances, how easy it is to put in the extra kitchen, bath(s).

With the master bedroom on the ground floor would you make that the main floor bath 1) private for the master suit 2) add a second entrance so you can access from the hallway and master suit or 3) leave as is with access from the hallway only?
