Hey Max, I'm still rather new to BP and REI as well, but Welcome to BP, as you can see you have an enormous library of resources and great people here that can help you out and give great advise as well. 

Both can be found for a few bucks used or even in most libraries.

Try a library or college, sometimes there are good online tools there.* RPR is Realtor's Property Resource

I have been watching the webinars on bigger pockets, signed up for a class on udemy.com, reading the guides, and have been reading books from the library in real estate (especially those recommended for reading on biggerpockets.com).

Everything i see people talk about is PC only, with sometimes a light version for mac.

Learning by jumping in the pool as they say.Besides that you can find everything you need via the Podcasts/Webinars on this site.Along with books found in every library.  

I'm checking my library to see if I can find anything if not I'm not adverse to just calling and "winging" it. 

I would suggest to invest your time and your mind by reading contents in this website, books (if you go to your local library, it's free!)

Information is readily available, whether via your smart phone, PC at home, tablet, you name it.
