They have sharp spurs/burrs and stick to everything including dogs, children, socks, fingers, etc, and draw blood (and curses).After the invasion, the only permitted solution is spraying and one has to regularly spray for 1-2 years to eliminate... ask me how I know.

I initially thought I had a moisture issue or leak from 2nd floor but it was none of these things....And BTW there is a method to test if you haev these ceilings.. generally if you rub your fingers against the ceiling if you have calcamine you generally will get a very chalky residue on your fingers....Thankfully this was only used on the ceilings because I have read about it being used on walls as well.
