I'm not familiar with New York, but the tourist destination areas really make a killing.

Where the local population is much lower than the tourist traffic.

Greece tax rent starts from less than 15% , but depends on the amount of money that you earn from your properties.For example an appartment that you rent 500 euro per month , you will be taxed around 900 euros annually,15% tax.But a villa that produces 50.000 euro per year in a touristic area , will be taxed 35%.

So I would advise to look for a more southern tourist destination.

Just look at the Golden Knights and how their success has brought the city together, provided events, increase foot traffic into restaurants, bars like Jay said, increased tourists visiting, etc.

Tourism demand: Look for markets that attract a lot of tourists, either because of their natural beauty, cultural attractions, or other draw.

Property is just 10 minutes from Pigeon Forge, TN which is one of the most traveled to tourist destinations in all the country.
