Thanks @Joel Owens The building (late 1960s) and land (around half acre) was previously used for retail and is currently non-operating with a bunch of merchandise inside the structure.

Sometimes it's a roof, sometimes it's a compressor (or 2) that were stolen.

Apparently this happens quite a bit and people who are dealing out of state get deposit money stolen all the time.

If you are like myself (and a lot of millenials) though, you dont want to actually safeguard some commodity that can be stolen from you.

In Baltimore, you can go to the Mayor's office, there are lots of blocks that are vacant and ready to be renovated, that is if you have money and the management skills to collect rent and the security to protect your material and tools from being stolen during the renovation stage. 

It doesn't take a lot of $1000 vacancies to add up real quick.And yes, sometimes they will get torn up, stuff will get stolen, etc, but if you BUY IT RIGHT to begin with, and count those factors in, then you're good to go!

The worst property we bought was an $18,000.00 'Wrecking Ball Special' which had not been taken care of and vandals had painted on the outside, thieves had broken in and stolen things but not the wiring luckily. 

Also I just used a POD for my mom's estate and it was fantastic--great company... so I was thinking about that, but apparently I'd have to hire someone to MOVE HER STUFF, and if they're not bonded and insured, she could come back and haunt me if she claims something is stolen!

Thank God I didn't have 10 properties on this platform I suspect someone has stolen your identity and you haven't found out yet.
