Is this not a free market society?

It's irresponsible to do that but that's what many of them do.Lot's of people in society do things and do not deal with the consequences of their actions that led up to that moment in life.

People have become spoiled and all levels of society seem to have an unrealistic expectation of lifestyle.

If it's a true collapse of society, I think I'm well covered already. :-) But I doubt anything like that is coming.

I am more disappointed with the overall trend in society towards strategic breaks of promises than towards your individual decision.

It sure is easy to fall for the siren song of the lenders, but that is a major problem with our entire society.
