My concern is what kind of damage the solar panels will do to the composition shingle roof, are you familar with this Eli?

For example for new roof, are you putting another layer of shingles on the existing layer, or are you tearing it off down to the plywood or are you tearing off the plywood too? 

For  B class property I gauge it by shingle curl and amount of particles remaining on shingles.
