Sorry for the misunderstanding...

We're all smart enough to know that families get torn apart over misunderstandings, especially when money is involved and we wanted to avoid that to every possible extent.  

I do not have buy&holds at the moment in Eagledale so must be a misunderstanding 

The misunderstanding and improper transaction is what lead to the tax issue in the first place most likely.  

Now, I haven't read all of his work, so I may be totally misunderstanding his point, but based on what I am familiar with it seems that he recommends purchasing investment properties outright with a full cash payment.It's not necessarily a *bad* strategy, but it totally dismisses one of the most powerful tools in an investors' arsenal: leverage.

A couple of them I originally thought we could have worked together long-term, but after  our misunderstandings on that project, he did the work (not always great), I paid the bills, but his promises vs my expectations just didn't match up.

It does sound a little fishy that someone can sell properties without a license...or maybe I'm misunderstanding wholesaling.

It seems to me like it's a lot of additional steps for minimal additional gain, unless I misunderstand something.

"Good deal" tends to be a subjective judgement.Businesses are expected to acquire and use credit, unlike consumers / individuals.Account Closed,There seems to be a lot misunderstanding around this.
