What is not deductable is paying yourself for work done. 

I also think the market is so slow that if an investor is paying attention they will see a trend forming and can react in before there is material shift in values. 

What I've realized is that a lot of these companies that do pay for housing stay in the larger apartment complexes because the companies pay for it.
