When you get liability insurance for the LLC, you'll have to get an endorsement to cover you as well, because they sue you anyway. 

He cant legally cash them, but then he cant legally endorse them to the seller either...There are companies that go to auctions and bid for you.

@Ben Kurt, the cashier's check is typically made out to yourself, and you endorse it on the back to the trustee if you win the auction.

The interest in the note will be delivered by an endorsement from the seller as well but that is not recorded.
