I am currently rewiring a duplex I just bought and wanted some feedback on this:I'm putting smoke detectors in each unit, should they all be connected?

Just like a thief in the night.My white walls to ceiling fans were yellow to brown from the tar build up from their smoking habits and my baby butt carpet was now sticky, brown, smelly, and hard :.c...

I went in after they moved out in the middle of the night with out notice to find black smoke ring all over the wall and melted wax running down the walls in several places even inside the tub.

Send up a smoke signal, you get the idea.

The thought of the old fat guy smoking a $500 cigar at the club, bragging his azz off is usually one not the picture of a successful person, as he likes people to think, he'll also be sure to be setting himself to be taken down by those with means.

Smoking, car graveyard, and drug use etc.

It seems to me like the owner will be at least financially responsible to the victims families due to his alleged negligence.As we come to the end of the year, have you taken time to inspect and replace fire, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors?  

Smoke odor is also a pain and costly to remove out of a unit.
