.$200 fee mandatory) check states secretary info site, you dont need an attorney for that.there are companies that do corps or LLC as well but if you are asking an attorney for advise or just having an attorney file the copr or LLC, you need to ask them if all filing, licensing fees are included, from my understanding you may have to cover the BIZ license and other misc fees which could go up to $400-$500 yourself.

As for the annual tax, yes you need to pay tax every year, but you should be able to bypass the first year now: "The new rules established by the state’s 2020 Budget Act (AB 85) exempt any LLC that organizes, registers, or files with the California Secretary of State on or after January 1, 2021 and before January 1, 2024, from paying the $800 minimum tax in their first taxable year."

Even if it's a realtors office and you're doing secretarial duties it gets you in the industry and soon as they see how motivated you are I am sure they will let you do more and more, as much as they can legally.

The way I did it (I am not a lawyer or CPA, just a step or two ahead of you in researching and doing this process, so I'll share my experience):- I researched my state's Secretary of State website to make sure my desired company (LLC) name was available, then registered my LLC with them.- I then provided that LLC information to the IRS' EIN registration page, resulting in an EIN for my company.
