The path of progress isnt going through that area anytime soon as the area isnt located close enough to a major city or hub of any sort, most people commute eastward for work as there arent many high paying jobs in the area.

NYC, DC, SF, and LA have reached cost-of-living numbers that are more laughable every week.When my wife and I talk about our eventual migration, a lot of our interest is to be plugged into a local urban environment, but also be close enough to the metro hubs for visits, culture, and my business.

Areas around old worn out industrial, agricultural and/or at one time popular tourist and vacation destination hubs and residential communities that have seen their day and are starting to turn to rubble are prime targets for abandonment.I recall one area in particular where I used to spend many many vacations.
