I have a renewed spirit of drive and achievement of goals.

I don't think about retiring: there's a certain sense of pride and high achieved from every home delivered to a family. 

It's nothing glamorous, but with a bit of work should exceed what we could achieve in most other investments, and hopefully will put us that much closer to the goal of a comfortable retirement.  

I understand much of the red tape associated with new construction first hand from building my own home, but blame much of it on a very incompetent builder.Thanks!

I've lived in the Dunwoody area of Atlanta for a long time and experienced first hand the market growth.

Doing your first deal or partnering on a deal locally will give you that first hand perspective on what "something going wrong" would actually look like. 

I know I'm only temporary to the Mass area and it may not be the market I end up investing in but I know I learn best from experiencing first hand and picking the brain of more experienced individuals. 

Also, your goals will change throughout this time so it makes it easier to focus on the ST to achieve the LT goals.
