The owner is an old woman whose husband recently died and she has no interest in it.

I took a chance on a single woman with 2 kids .Credit was bad , medical bills , she just went thru a divorce .

Well, don't think it's so much Sec 8 as it is poor tenant screening.OTOH - Maybe the "I love Sec 8" woman can chime in.
