Also, when you tear off the brick to get to the drywall-like sheathing I would go back with lapped cement siding (if restrictions permit), much cheaperJust be sure you get a certificate passing mold visual inspections and air quality and that they also provide you with an 'Insurance Stamp' (what they called it anyway).I'm guessing the home's elevation versus the BFE checked out in that area?

looking at a very nice foreclosure by me price is $65000 local comps are 180-215000 the house is 3 bed 2.5 bath 2100 sq ft built 1990s been empty for over 2 years with a flooded basement which is all cement walls, but rest of the inside of the house mostly the walls which is painted drywall has mold anyway to know if this is wipe off mold or drywall would need gutted and replaced?

This would be my first home purchase that I would first house hack the basement apartment and eventually move out and rent out the entire house, just for some context.The foundation type is basement with cement blocks and we know for sure one of the basement walls is bowing.
