Oh wait, never mind :)My guess is the owners are trying to apply CA prices to their out of state property, and the listing agent was all too happy to play along and tell them what they wanted to hear in order to secure the listing, and now them chickens is comin' home to roost.

Our dream setting is a house on 15 acres with chickens and a cow and such.  

They've added a small "apartment" out back, a workshop, and a barn+chicken coop.

My farm house for example, has tons of cow/chicken/barn decorations that make it sooo cute but when I lived there full time it was more family pics less decor...same with the beach houses-we do some wacky fun things that make people feel like they are living the beach life, even if its just for a week. 

But you have the "chicken and egg" problem to overcome first: how do you prove you're a "closer" when you can't get the time of day?

I respect his judgement on it because he is the "boots on the ground" law, but we are not going to be swayed because of as Rich Dad, Poor Dad would say "chicken little effect."

Just like people don't stop eating meat, they eat ground beef and chicken instead of rib eyes and filet mignons.
