If a contractor says he'll start on Monday and be done on Friday, that's the important information -- whether he only works 5 hours during that week or 50 hours is irrelevant, as long as he completes the job on schedule and with appropriate quality.Now, if you have contractors who rely on one another to get their jobs done, you might need to negotiate specific times the contractor will (and won't) be on-site.
