They make sure your title is clear and all the paperwork in order to officially transfer your property.

Hi Robert, just a simple declaration that they intend to move out on July 1. nothing official. 

I guess the difference is vacating the premise vs terminating the lease.....The tenant lease doesn't terminate until the end of the month...... they can hand you the keys and move out so it's vacant..... but the legal lease is still in place until the end of the month.If they hand you the keys, they have officially vacated the premise.....

What if I leave a couple of days prior to closing and I don't "officially" own the home at the time that I start the trip?
