Turns out the son is a juvenile-my wife got a message on her phone from the County Prosecuters office- juvenile division.

The house is in an older part of town and has presented some unique challenges over the years. 

I found an area that is very unique, an island with no cars, and the real estate is surprisingly affordable.

Based on other things I've read, I had thought that Loopnet was a place where listings went to die, rather than a good place to find them, but perhaps Chicago is unique?
