I see heightened risks with STRs (increased regulation, additional taxes, far more sensitive to recessions and natural disasters), but I guess that's part of the reason you're seeing good returns.I don't know what selling platforms exist for STRs.

And I believe, just like in the last recession, they have extended unemployment benefits to help offset the harsh economy, but what happens when they let that extension expire.

We could also use that money next year for another down payment on another property if all goes well.My fear definitely arose from watching my parents divorce right before the recession, go bankrupt, and one year later my father was driving a school bus and my mom was living in a friend's spare room.

This could be formula for bankruptcy if there is a bad recession.
