Also, what is the reason why these houses look like a box instead of traditional slopped roof style?

FYI:  the term TURNKEY means a rental with tenants in place, with cash flow (but you need to due diligence to show you that).While you can find "turnkey provider" companies ( which act like a broker between sellers and buyers), you can also find properties (both SFR & MFU) on the MLS, FSBOs (for sale by owner), and even here on BP.So a "turnkey opportunity" need not imply broker style commissions or an intermediary like a PM(property manager).Best wishes.

Once that switch is flipped they don't seem to be able to give up whatever power they thought they had and it can cause a lot of problems with the new management style.
