I own a house now as primarily residence, we are a family of four so that option didn’t cross my mind. 

I supply toilet paper, paper towels, liquid hand soap at all sinks, dishdetergent, dishwasher pods, one new dishwashing sponge, spray oil, salt & pepper (I buy the plastic disposable ones for picnics so they can't be refilled) and a few other spices, trash bags, some cleaning supplies such as Simple Green and microfiber cloths, coffee filters, plastic wrap, ziploc baggies, laundry detergent, and dryer sheets.Guests are asked to bring their own shampoo, conditioner, personal soap for showers, sugar, creamer and coffee. 

Ceiling joists looked to be maybe 2x6 square tubing and then steel cross members going up to the roof rafters that looked like they were just unistrut.

Its going to be managed by a property manager and thus a passive investment which is allowed per h1b rules.However, I am being needed to procure state and county hotel tax certificates which almost seems like I am launching a hotel business in the records of state.I am starting to wonder if this can cause issues down the lane when renewing my visa or applying for green card.If anyone else has a similar experience or own STRs on h1b, urgently want to discuss this with you.
