Did you find any prior knowledge (tenant screening) of pets moving in?

I will be talking to him Monday, or possibly today if I find time at work.

If you find belongings inside, look closer to see if the tenant has been abandoned or is just gone for a long vacation, hospitalized, in jail, etc.

If you decide to sell and find an investment property with a greater cash flow potential.A 1031 exchange would allow you to indefinitely all of the tax and use it to your advantage to reinvest into larger nicer property/properties.

I recommend finding an accountant who specializes in planning.

And you can quite literally walk there from the U.S. side if you didn't forget your passport at home :) Of course, I don't know how much (if at all) this could affect a hospitality business, so I would continue trying to find someone who actually operates an STR here to find out more.  

its most unfortunate that you had to go through this deception and theft from someone who is considered a professional in this business. we definitely appreciate you putting the warning out about this character. as hard as it is to find a reliable experienced contractor nowadays its even harder to find one that's not a crook and a liar and that's truly pathetic.   

I sent an invite to a prospective applicant that qualified and Looked high and low for the invite form with some additional notes to the applicant only to find out that it is not even on the platform at all, anywhere but in an email confirmation I received.
