Yes @Michael Smythe I was planning on but I also have a small room in NYC (where I work) so the days I don’t want to drive I would stay here and go back to PA weekends but I spoke to a lender and said I would not qualify for that since it’s a bit far from my job and they might think I’m doing mortgage fraud it’s just complicated so she recommends just doing a conventional loan with 15-20% down payment and use it as an investment property Which at that point I’m not sure if it’s worth it.

Stay Renting:Pros:We have a great deal on rent ($3,200 total, $1,600 each), which allows us to save, stay liquid and focus on growing the rental portfolio.We love the apartment.Cons:We’ll likely need to move in a year, and comparable places are around $4,000/month.I’m not thrilled about moving, and it feels like we’re just delaying the inevitable.Not getting any appreciation.I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I would suggest staying along the train lines and also looking for rental friendly areas.

It is better to stay simple.

Lay low and stay out of the crossfire.

If one of your prospective tenants has an EV, you can offer to split costs to install it as long as it stays after they leave. - could be a creative solution

My cleaners charge $125  cleaning fee for  2 bed/2 bath and $150 for a 3 bed/2bath, I charge an additional $15/night as a pet fee (Max 2 dogs), Airbnb doesn't allow an additional nightly fee so I charge $150/stay, my cleaners charge an extra $25 for the additionl cleaning required for pet hair removal.

Kansas City has a strong medical presence so traveling medical professionals are always needing a place to stay.

We may have to stay here until Milton passes Florida... oh darn, we'll be stuck in Mexico for another day or two...
