Using leverage to mitigate your risk, increase your buying power and enhance your cash on cash return is great to consider, however, lenders are not to interested in funding your "education" either.  

But an international bank might do it because they want to serve their American clients, have more of them and have more money to spend on compliance systems.I agree that short term rentals enhance yield, lifestyle and highest opportunity are not necessarily separate things, and US persons can open accounts anywhere.

However they informed me that the chimney would need to be completely rebuilt from the roof line and the quotes I received  were more than I could bear for something that doesn't enhance the value of the property.
